Eric van Ginkel serves the United States District Courtfor the Central District of California, the California Superior Court and the Court of Appeal by mediating and arbitrating court-mandated disputesThese often include personal injury cases and other tort actions, anything from auto accidents and slips and falls to toxic mold cases, but also some breach of contract cases.

Eric sees the mediation process as a continuum between facilitative and evaluative mediationThis means that Eric often begins a mediation session being facilitative, gradually becoming more evaluative.  He approaches every mediation process with integrity, patience, persistence and creativity.  Eric aims to assist the parties in transforming their “positions” into “solutions” that better match their underlying interests, values and long-term goals.
