The Virginia Chapter of ACR is holding it's annual spring conference on May 6-7: 

 

 

Our Conference Committee has exciting plans in place to offer valuable networking and learning opportunities in May for ACR Virginia members and guests. As part of our Annual Spring Conference, we'll also proudly celebrate our Tenth Year as a Chapter!

 

Ray Lanier, ACR President, will join us!

Monday Lunchtime Speaker: Ray Lanier, President of the Association for Conflict Resolution will address "State of the Field: What are the trends and challenges in the field of conflict resolution? How is ACR doing?"

Ray Lanier is Senior EEO/Dispute Resolution Officer for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in D.C. and has more than 20 years of experience in the resolution of workplace disputes.

Monday Morning: "Aikido and Conflict, Centering the Environment"

Judy Ringer, conflict skills trainer, communication coach, black belt in the martial art aikido, and author will lead an interactive session where you'll reaffirm the importance of your role in helping keep the environment centered and on purpose.

Monday Afternoon: "Crisis Facilitation"

Marcia Thompson, J.D., is a family law and collaborative attorney, certified mediator, trainer/facilitator and alternative dispute resolution consultant. She will lead an interactive workshop offering advice and guidance on how to resolve a dispute that is well beyond just two people.
