Benefits of pre-caucusing
A very good analysis, and as I was reading it it struck me that you could have added to it the effect of the public "outbursts" and public anger expressed in mediation, on the mediator himself. Avoiding that, even if the mediator knows the depths of feelings, will be beneficial. Mediators are human beings too, and are influenced by such matters, even if they consciously intend to resist.

A really extensively researched article. Your treatment of the topic is valuable across the board in mediation. Thanks for your work in providing mediators with some really helpful material on caucusing.
