 mediation, questionable process

I have represented many clients in disputes over commerical transactions of varying complexity, and have never encountered a willingness to mediate, even after carefully explaining and defining the process. Four related anti-mediation thoughts have been: need to educate mediators; cost of mediation; time (delay)of mediation; unclear resulting outcome. I wonder whether other lawyers have detected a similar anti-mediation mindset?		 -- -- --
