In late March, alumnus Jim Trietsch will speak to higher education executives from all over the world at SunGuard Executive Summit 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. As Senior Strategic Planner for Abilene Christian University, Jim has been a long-time attendee of SunGard’s annual Summit meeting; however, this will be his first time to present at the Executive Summit. “The presentation will be an introduction to conflict resolution with a bit of discussion about the dispute resolution continuum and ‘going below the line.’ I went ahead and worked on a presentation right after I finished the [master’s] degree last summer to be ready when I had the opportunity,” said Jim. Because of his experience in higher education, passion for peacemaking and interest in cultivating healthy working relationships, Jim’s presentation will provide valuable new tools to his audience of university provosts, chief financial officers, chief information/technology officers and university vice presidents. "Through the years, the Trietsches have been strong supporters of our program. Jim, who received his master's degree in conflict resolution and reconciliation, has been present as an encourager and volunteer from the beginning of the Duncum Center," Executive Director Joey Cope said. "We are blessed by him, Lana, and his entire family in our work."
