Cope Moves to Chair-Elect of the
State Bar of Texas ADR Section Council

As reported last summer, executive director of the Duncum Center, associate professor, and attorney, Joe L. “Joey” Cope, served the State Bar of Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Section Council as secretary in 2009-2010.  Stepping into the role of chair-elect last month, Cope began taking on new leadership responsibilities for the Council’s 2010-2011 year.

“I’m hopeful that my work in the ADR section will be beneficial and bring recognition to the Duncum Center.  I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the Section as we continue to improve the profession of dispute resolution for both attorneys and non-attorneys,” said Cope.

In addition to becoming chair-elect, Cope will chair the membership and annual meeting committees and serves as an ex officio member of all other Council committees.
