Govenor Perry Appoints ACU Student to Trinity River Authority

Texas Govenor Rick Perry appointed four members to the Trinity River Authority in November 2008.  Among the four was Amanda Davis, Masters of Education student at Abilene Christian University.

Ms. Davis of Buffalo, Texas is an Assistant Principal in the Buffalo Independent School District.  She earned the Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution for Educators while working toward the Masters of Education in Leadership of Learning degree at ACU.  Ms. Davis feels her conflict resolution training has prepared her to serve TRA on research, negotiation practices, and budgeting issues.

The TRA develops and conserves the surface water resources of the Trinity River Basin overseeing water and wastewater management from the DFW area to the Gulf.  The Trinity River provides water to Dallas, Fort Worth, the surrounding areas, as well as 70% of the Greater Houston area.
