The Center for Conflict Resolution held several special training seminars in August.
- Aug. 17: Joe L. Cope worked with the ACU women's volleyball team in a team building workshop to maximize cohesiveness and communication among the players.
- Aug. 20: Joe L. Cope and Lori Anne Shaw worked with ACU senior education majors who will be student teaching this year. In the workshop, Cope and Shaw focused on preparing the students to successfully deal with conflict in schools.
- Aug. 26: Lori Anne Shaw worked with students at FaithWorks of Abilene, a career development program for underemployed adults. Shaw discussed managing conflict in the workplace.
- Aug. 28: As an outreach to the community, Joe L. Cope and Garry P. Bailey worked in a collaborative effort with local nonprofit agencies to address the needs of unaccompanied youth in the Abilene area.
