Strader Discusses Conflict Resolution in the Healthcare Market

Dr. Jerry Strader, Sr., mediator-in- residence at Abilene Christian University’s Center for Conflict Resolution, joined forces with two health law attorneys, John Allen Chalk, Sr. and Jeanne F. Franklin, to present Basics of Mediating Healthcare Conflicts: Helping Health Lawyers Use Mediation Successfully and Comply with Joint Commission Conflict Resolution Requirements.  The teleconference presentation was sponsored by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Task Force of the American Health Lawyers Association (ALHA).

The presentation offered an introduction to core concepts of mediation as a process, its distinctive features and benefits and their application in the healthcare market.  The goal of the presentation was to help health lawyers gain a better sense of when and how to avail their clients of mediation to achieve client goals and what to expect from it.  For more information about the AHLA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Service and to download the audio recording of the teleconference presentation, click here.
