Matthew J. Dodd, Ph.D. 

Dr. Dodd is an Assistant Professor in the Duncum Center for Conflict Resolution at Abilene Christian University where he works as a trainer, consultant, and mediator. He has a Bachelor's degree in Communication (1998), a Master's degree in Communication (2001), and a Master's of Marriage and Family Therapy (2001) all from Abilene Christian University. He completed his Doctorate in Family Studies (2007) from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. Dr. Dodd has also received a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution (2007) from Abilene Christian University where he was trained as a mediator.  

Matthew has conducted training and speaking events in the area, in addition to his clinical experience as a therapist. He was a full-time faculty member at McMurry University for five years (2001 - 2006) before coming to work at ACU in 2006.

Matthew lives in Abilene, Texas and attends University Church of Christ with his wife, Heather, and his sons, Timothy and Jonathan. Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, working (playing) with technology, and producing videos for local weddings and events.
