San Francisco CA
Advanced Settlements & Complex Mediations
One Day Workshop, 9AM - 5PM
Mediators can be challenged by two important issues: financial settlements as part of the mediated resolution and multi-party mediations. Within the past decade, the dollar amounts at stake in mediations have increased exponentially, adding increased pressures for mediators. Most mediators have also seen a marked increase in multi-party disputes that involve a greater diversity among parties and their competing needs. This training will introduce techniques and strategies for an increased understanding and competency in these two critical areas.

The workshops will combine short lectures, group discussions and role play practices. Additionally, there will be a BYOP (“Bring Your Own Problems”) working lunch for participants to ask the trainers for their input and expertise. The training will conclude with a “Building Confidence, Demonstrating Competence” session. Lunch is provided.
