Community Boards, a leader in community mediation since 1976, designed its BASICS OF MEDIATION for interested individuals and working professionals with little or no background in mediation and facilitation. However, even trained mediators can learn new skills and strategies in Community Boards’ restorative justice model. BASICS introduces and reinforces those core skills critical for effective mediation: communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
