ACR Announces 2012 Awards

The Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) recently honored Judge Robert Bell, Michael Lang, Tammy Lenski, Frank Dukes, Duane Heffelbower, Leymah Gbowee and Kathy Bickmore with awards at the 2012 ACR Conference in New Orleans.

Robert Bell
Marvin E. Johnson Award
This award was presented at the 2012 ACR Annual Conference Opening Plenary Session to The Honorable Robert M. Bell, Chief Judge, Maryland Court of Appeals (Left) by Marvin Johnson (Right) in recognition of dedicated leadership and passionate contribution to bridging the divides between people of different cultures and backgrounds.

Michael Lang
John Haynes Distinguished Mediator Award

This award was presented at the 2012 ACR Annual Conference Presidential Luncheon to Michael Lang (Center) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of mediation. The award was presented by Larry Fong.


Tammy Lenski
Mary Parker Follett Award
This award was presented at the 2012 ACR Annual Conference Presidential Luncheon to Tammy Lenski (Center) in recognition of her work in the field of conflict resolution.


Frank Dukes
Sharon Pickett Award

This award was presented to Frank Dukes (Right) at the 2012 ACR Annual Conference Presidential Luncheon in recognition of his work in the field of conflict resolution.

Presidential Award
This award was presented to Duane Ruth-Heffelbower (Left) for his demonstrated dedication to ACR. The award was presented by 2011-2012 ACR President Perri Mayes at the 2012 ACR Annual Conference.

Peacemaker Award
This award was presented to Leymah Gbowee (Right), 2012 ACR Annual Conference Keynote Speaker, in recognition of significant and sustained contributions to the cause of peace.

Education Award

The William Kreidler Award for Distinguished Service to the Field of Conflict Resolution was presented to Kathy Bickmore (Right) at the ACR Annual Conference.
