Simple Mediation Ground Rules!
Hi fellow Mediators!
I found a great article in mediate.com entitled Sample Mediation Ground Rules by James Melamed. Check out the entire article. I have listed below the ones I regularly use in my mediation practice.
- We agree to take turns speaking and not interrupt each other.
- We will request a break when we need to.
- We agree to listen respectfully while the other person speaks.
- We will not dwell on the past, but try to focus on the future........................(very tough in divorce mediation!)
