Arkansas Conflict Resolution Association is a nonprofit, professional association founded in 1994 by a group of individuals who saw mediation as an alternative to costly litigation.  The original members were committed to educating the public and other professionals about all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

ACRA has grown and evolved into a statewide organization whose membership includes former judges, attorneys, mental health professionals, educators, professional ADR practitioners and communication specialists.  Raising the public's awareness of ADR and assisting our members in developing professional skills are the cornerstones of the current association.

Goals include promoting and making mediation, arbitration and other ADR processes available to individuals and groups and providing an environment in which members can network with other ADR practioners, to gather and exchange information about local and national developments in ADR and develop skills by participating in continuing education, workshops, and mentoring programs.

The  proven ability of ADR to reduce the costs of conflict has produced tremendous growth in the field and an overwhelming acceptance of ADR methods.
