Conflict Resolution Training
AMCR TRAININGS/PRESENTATIONS Conflict Resolution in the Workplace Training is frequently a component of Conflict Management. AMCR offers many courses, customized to the needs of the individual client organizations. All of these trainings are designed to help employees communicate more effectively, listen better, negotiate with finesse and develop more creative conflict resolution skills. The length of each program is based on the number of participants and the needs of each client. Some of the presentations and training offered by AMCR include: AMCR TRAININGS Sexual Harassment Participants explore organizational strategies designed to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
Diversity Training Participants learn cultural awareness, sensitivity to gender and generational differences and their application to dispute resolution in the workplace.
You Can Stop Harassment There are two versions to this training, one intended for all employees and the second intended for managers and team leaders. The focus is on all forms of harassment, including sexual harassment.
Conflict Resolution Skills for Managers Designed to help organizations develop internal mediation capacity as a component of their dispute resolution program. Participants learn the basics of mediation, as well as conflict analysis.
Labor-Management Team Effectiveness Participants acquire tools for effective communication, consensus decision-making, brainstorming and creative problem solving to enhance their Team Effectiveness
Training for Trainers: Conflict Management Skills Introduction and overview of conflict styles and sources of conflict; theory, strategies and skills in interest-based bargaining; active listening, raising conflict productively, and dealing with difficult emotions; Consensus Building and Collaborative Decision-making A conflict management coach from AMCR will assist in the first training that each trainer performs, giving the necessary back-up support.
Negotiation Basics: Interest-Based Bargaining vs. Position Bargaining Participants develop an understanding for the advantages and disadvantages of traditional negotiations and win/win negotiations and learn effective negotiation skills.
Constructive Dialogue Participants master pragmatic communication principles and develop useful skills for resolving workplace disputes. Program covers such topics as establishing rapport, managing emotions in conflict, listening actively, identifying meta-communication patterns and understanding and using perceptual differences in an effective manner. AMCR PRESENTATIONS Mediating Discrimination Cases Participants learn the benefits of mediation and other ADR techniques in resolving discrimination cases based on age, sex, race, ethnic origin, religion and disability and develop basic mediation skills for dealing with those cases.
Alternative Options for Resolving Disputes Designed to educate employees in the options available to them for resolving disputes of any kind. Lunchtime presentation.
Overview of Early Dispute Resolution (EDR) System Design Attendees learn how organizations are creating and implementing EDR systems; explore the key components; review the process for designing a system and understand the benefits of Early Dispute Resolution Systems.
