Basic Mediator Training

Since 1995, Alternative Resolutions has been a leader in providing mediation services and training to businesses, government agencies, health care, law enforcement, manufacturers, non-profit organizations, schools, churches, and families—we practice what we teach. Through high energy, interactive, experiential learning, we have taught thousands of adults and students to become proficient, effective mediators.

Course Overview

This intensive training presents an interest-based mediation model for anyone who is called upon to help resolve conflicts for others, including those who want to mediate professionally.  Using effective communication and collaborative problem-solving skills, mediators help parties get to the root of the problem by engaging them in respectful dialogue. An impartial mediator guides parties in an interest-based conflict resolution process that empowers people to make decisions and work out their own solutions.
