Mediation Skills for the Workplace

Since 1995, Alternative Resolutions has been a leader in providing mediation services and training to businesses, government agencies, health care, law enforcement, manufacturers, non-profit organizations, schools, churches, and families—we practice what we teach.  Through high energy, interactive, experiential learning, we have trained thousands of adults and students to become proficient, effective mediators.

Course Overview

What makes mediation skills so valuable?  Conflict presents an opportunity for growth and change.  Good mediation skills will help you maximize the hidden potential of conflict and, at the same time, preserve important relationships.

This training presents an interest-based conflict resolution process that empowers people to make decisions and work out their own solutions.  When confronted with situations in which individuals or systems are in conflict, managers and supervisors can utilize mediation skills to help parties work together to reach mutually satisfactory solutions.  Effective mediation skills are tools that foster a respectful environment in which productive communication can take place.  Using these skills, you can assist parties to clearly define the conflict and reach effective, lasting resolutions.
