Session 1B: “What Would Gandhi Do? A Lesson in Applied Spirituality”
India's great leader, Mohandas Gandhi, successfully fought against discrimination and political oppression on two continents, with an unwavering commitment to nonviolence. Gandhi believed that the greatest power on earth was the power of love and truth. The legacy of Gandhi's extraordinary accomplishments inspired other great leaders of our time, including Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, Jr. His life and teachings are as relevant today as ever, especially in the field of conflict resolution. This program will explore how we, as mediators and conflict resolution professionals, can apply Gandhi's teachings. Following his example, how can our life, and our work, be an experiment in love and truth?
