ADRNC and JFK University, present:
APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY: Creating a more positive outcome for people in conflict
SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2005; 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Registration and Networking from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) JOHN F. KENNEDY UNIVERSITY Pleasant Hill, CA - Room 104 S
Appreciative Inquiry is a positive, goal-oriented, development process that honors and uses positive histories and stories of our lives/clients/organizations. It is an affirmative approach to discovering and creating a more positive future for ourselves, our clients, our organizations, and our communities. It is an alternative to the traditional problem-solving model we are all familiar with.
From this interactive workshop, you will take away the beginnings of a shift in thinking about your life and work toward what’s working and away from what’s NOT working. For instance, instead of thinking that your client/partner/professor is sooo difficult and how are you ever going to be able to work with this person, think about what's working in your relationship with your client/partner/professor; how you can do more of what’s working; what do you value most about yourself; and, how can you bring more of those values to the process of working with this person. Attend this program to learn this exciting, positive approach. You will:
- Gain deeper appreciation for yourself and your skills
- Find new energy for dealing with conflict in your life and in your work
- Get access to a new future for yourself, your clients, and your community
