Advanced Mediation Skills Training
Co-sponsored by the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, East Bay Community Mediation, Project Sentinel and the Association for Dispute Resolution in Northern California
This is an exciting opportunity for mediators of all experience levels and backgrounds to hone and enhance their mediation skills with well-known, Bay Area trainer, Marvin Schwartz.
Planned topics for this highly interactive session include:
• effective use of caucus
• helping parties get "unstuck" particularly around generating possible agreements,
• teamwork among mediation panel members,
There will be opportunities to interact with other mediators as well as activities to practice techniques. This program is generally geared towards skills and issues relevant in a community mediation setting. However mediators who work in all settings are welcome and will undoubtedly benefit.
