Please join us for an evening with mediator Nancy J. Foster.
Presenter:
NANCY J. FOSTER, J.D., is Director of the Northern California Mediation Center (NCMC) and has been mediating divorce, family, business and organizational disputes since 1988. She also practices as a collaborative divorce attorney. Nancy received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School then practiced commercial litigation, securities and real estate law for over ten years prior to becoming a mediator.
Nancy is also trainer in mediation, conflict resolution and communication skills. In addition to her twice-yearly 40 hour mediation trainings through NCMC, she has presented at Pepperdine University School of Law, the Academy of Family Mediators, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and has coached communication skills at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and many law schools including Hastings, Boalt Hall, U.C. Davis and Stanford. She serves on the mediation panels of the U.S. District Court for Northern California, the California Court of Appeal for the First Appellate District, San Francisco Superior Court, Marin County Superior Court, California Lawyers for the Arts and the Keybridge Foundation. Nancy serves on the board of Collaborative Family Law Professionals of Marin, is past president of the Northern California Mediation Association and past Vice-President of Marin County Women Lawyers. She is also a member of the Marin County Bar Association (ADR and Family Law Sections), and is an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution Family Section.
On a more personal note, Nancy has recently become a foster parent to a 12 year old boy, has a strong spiritual practice, sings in a choir (with an occasional solo) and has recommitted to doing art for self-expression and beauty.
