Light refreshments will be served

LOCATION: The San Francisco living room of ADRNC board member Ike Lasater

Two and half blocks from the West Portal Muni Railway Station and also near the CineArts@Empire Movie Theater, located at West Portal Avenue and Vicente. (address emailed to you in response to your registration.)

Join us for an evening with active mediator John Kinyon in an informal setting in the living room of ADRNC board member Ike Lasater. Ask him about what he does in the Bay Area with his work, but also, ask John about his adventures in an Afghan refugee camp with the tribal elders, about his experiences with people in workshops from around the world, or about his visit to a favela (shanty town) in Rio de Janeiro under the protection of the drug lord that controlled that area of the city.

Attend this informative informal evening to:

·        Find out more about what it means to be in the field of Conflict Resolution and Mediation

·        Have a conversation about mediation, ask questions and share information

·        Take this opportunity to ask your questions about how John uses Nonviolent Communication ("NVC") and regarding its relevance to what you do

Presenter, John Kinyon's background includes training and practice in clinical psychology. He is a certified trainer of the Center for Nonviolent Communication. He has for years worked closely with Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., the creator of NVC. John is committed to help individuals and organizations resolve interpersonal conflicts in a way that opens new possibilities and produces breakthrough solutions to difficult or “impossible” problems - providing the communication skills and consciousness necessary to generate compassion and meet the needs of all concerned.
