Workplace Section Tri-Chair Position Description
The Workplace Section is led by three Tri- Chairs of substantial expertise and spirit, who are committed and passionate about workplace conflict resolution. They provide an unifying vision; direct, guide and coordinate the Section's overall efforts; and support diverse conflict resolution practices. Tri-Chairs commit to a two-year term, dedicating approximately 20-25 hours of time per month to the Section. Specific Responsibilities: · Work collaboratively and effectively with the other section Tri-Chair(s) to allocate responsibilities and advance the goals of the section · Develop Section budget and monitor expenses · Create strategic objectives and a plan of action · Plan and facilitate Section Tri-Chairs’ and Leadership Council meetings · Participate in quarterly teleconference calls with ACR’s Section Leaders · Create a strategic plan to increase and retain Section members · Work closely with the Section’s volunteer leaders and ACR staff to effectively accomplish its objectives · Work in partnership with other ACR Section or Chapter leaders for purposes of joint projects · Build alliances with key agencies and organizations to further the field of workplace ADR · Oversee the implementation of high quality, up-to-date and valuable communication tools and member benefits to Section members such as the Section’s web site, Section newsletter, workplace alerts, teleconferences with guest speakers, training announcements, ACR Section-sponsored events · Organize section activities at the annual conference including the Section’s Leadership Council retreat · Attend the annual conference and ACR Leadership events
