Journal of the International Ombudsman Association

 The Journal of the International Ombudsman Association (JIOA) is a new peer reviewed, online journal that provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for issues and research relevant to the ombuds profession.  JIOA aims to increase the recognition and understanding of the role and impact of organizational ombuds offices in a variety of institutions.  Relevant issues include the study of practicing ombuds, their careers and their work; conflict management and resolution research, theory and practice; alternative dispute resolution;  recommendations for best practices; social, legal, technological and other factors that impact ombuds; risk management; resolving problems in complex organizations; and other areas of interest.  JIOA is seeking full length manuscripts (typically 1500-6000 words), shorter issue and practice essays, and book reviews (typically 500-1000 words).
