ACR Ombuds Section

Membership in the ACR Ombuds Section provides ombuds from all sectors with the opportunity to meet and learn together in the good company of ACR conflict resolution practitioners.  The Ombuds Section has been somewhat inactive recently, and the opportunity to reinvent the Section into a vital part of ACR presents exciting possibilities!

Some ideas are that the ACR Ombuds Section may: 

• become a place for clarifying and debating best practices in ombuds work.   
• create a space where organizational and classical ombuds can exchange information and ideas that may complement their respective practices.
• help the ADR field to understand the practices and value of the ombuds field.
• create more systematic and productive connections to the rest of ACR. 
• complement activities of other ombuds associations.

Please share what you think the ACR Ombuds Section might focus on in 2011 and beyond, and let us know if you want to have an active role in the leadership of the Section.
