This comprehensive course reflects the most expertly designed learning methodology in the field, built upon proven principles of adult skill acquisition and tested over years of application. Among its unique features are mediation methods uniquely honed for business issues, drawing upon the work of Dr. Cheryl Picard, Dr. Daniel Dana, Dr. Nancy Love, and many more - creating the "best of the best" mediation strategies with unique and deliberate psychological intent, making it easier for new (and skilled) mediation practitioners to learn and model.

This advanced program is aimed at improving the skills of practicing mediators or for those who have completed a Foundational Course in mediation and are interested in learning and developing further. The program builds on basic skills with an emphasis on the art of managing highly charged emotional climates, using Appreciative Inquiry techniques to conduct effective pre-mediation sessions to enhance the success of the mediation process, techniques for dealing with angry participants and when multiple parties are at the table.

Learn the POWER Tool to increase your ability to unearth underlying interests (as presented at the ACR 2006 Conference).  The advanced 40-hour experience provides demonstration with experienced mediators, role play, and opportunities to practice using cases from real-life situations.
