The event is jointly organized by Mediation Northern Ireland and the Scottish Mediation Network and is supported by the European Mediation Network. · Jan Egeland, the UN Secretary General’s Special Advisor on Conflict Resolution; · John Paul Lederach, Mediator and Professor of International Peace building who has written widely on mediation & peace building; · Ambassador Herbert Salber, Director of Conflict Prevention at the Organisation for Security & Co-operation in · Arlene McCarthy MEP, Chair of the EU Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee and draft person of the EU Directive on Mediation · Machteld Pel – Director of the Delegates will be able to share in the diverse experiences and best practices of mediators in workshops and training sessions hosted by experienced practitioners from across June 2008 ASIA-PACIFIC MEDIATION FORUM The 4th Asia-Pacific Mediation Forum conference will be hosted jointly with the APMF by the International Islamic University of Malaysia.
