Brief Summary of Issue Content

Issue 1:

Anita Vestal: an anti-bullying program that is based on conflict resolution theory.  Mike Palmer: down to earth tips on anti-bullying programs in schools. 

 

Issue 2:

Jane Riese and Leigh Jones-Bamman: bullying prevention models based on the work of Dan Olweus

Marcia Sweedler: the SUPERB program, changing school culture and empowering students who do not bully.

Kathy Bickmore: focus on relational aggression by and toward girls. 

 

Issue 3:

Robert Hosea and De Palazzo: overview of restorative justice in schools, and what is currently happening in the field.

Moriah Tuchman and Elizabeth Lowrey:  a restorative justice collaboration between the George Mason University Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Fairfax County Public Schools.
