Dear Members of the Restorative and Criminal Justice Section:
At the 2010 annual meeting in Chicago, Belinda Reed, David Deal and Lois Edmund began their service as tri-chairs of this section.

Belinda Reed is a Senior Adjunct Professor at Howard Community College where she teaches Introduction to Conflict Resolution and Introduction to Restorative Justice. Ms. Reed is also past-president of the Maryland Chapter of ACR. She received her Master's Degree in Applied Healing Arts from Tai Sophia Institute in 2005, her law degree in 1992, and is currently pursing a Graduate Certificate with the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University. She has received training in Mediation, Victim-Offender Mediation, Community Conferencing, and Peacemaking Circles; presents workshops on Circle Process and Restorative Dialogue; and is a trainer in
Peacemaking Circles and Restorative Practices and Processes.

David T. Deal is an independent consultant who specializes in conflict resolution and restorative justice. He is currently vice chair of the Northern Virginia Mediation Service (NVMS) Restorative Justice Work Project and co-coordinator for an NVMS-Fairfax County, VA school-based restorative justice demonstration project. This project led to “Lessons Learned” presentations at ACR and IIRP conferences in October 2009. He is trained in mediation, arbitration, community conferencing, restorative justice, facilitating victim-offender dialogues for serious crimes, and Defense Initiated Victim Outreach (DIVO).
