Welcome to the Restorative and Criminal Justice Section!

 

Dear Members of the Restorative and Criminal Justice Section:

 

At the annual meeting in Minneapolis we elected Theresa O’Neil to replace Cheryl Swanson, who completed her 2-year term as co-chair.  Theresa will serve with Clifford Dorne.

 

Theresa O’Neil, received her B.B.A. in 1995 & M.A. in Leadership and Public Administration in 2003 from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU). Ms. O’Neil has been the Director of Finance for the Center For Civil Justice (in Saginaw and Flint, MI) for approximately ten years, and previously has over 13 years employment experience in banking personnel, administration and operations.  Ms. O’Neil serves on the Legal Services Pro Bono Committee, a statewide Legal Services Technology Committee, and is a member of the Program Planning Committee for the Management Information Exchange (MIE) Program Administrator’s national conference, and has recently published an article for their MIE journal.  She is also an Adjunct Instructor for a graduate class in Conflict Management at SVSU and is one of the expert mediators through the SVSU/SCAO juvenile/truancy program.  She attends many seminars and mediation trainings per year including VORP, Civil Law for Mediators, Domestic Violence Screening, Juvenile/Truancy, Family Mediation, and is a volunteer mediator for the Community Dispute Resolution Center.  She is a partner of a new business (Hensinger, Tanner & O’Neil) which provides family mediation services in Saginaw, Bay and Midland counties.
