E-Mail Touches

Using the Internet as a communication and marketing tool (as well as a research tool) is one of the most effective and cheapest ways to communicate with your customers. The Internet is the perfect tool to transmit follow-up information like articles, changes in service, newsletters, or general information. It is a great place to advertise and communicate with various industry and business specific "chat groups" that focus on your specialty. Again, for optimum viewing, use as much personalized information as you possibly can.

Some hints:

*  Send broadcast e-mail using the "BCC" button (this stands for Blind Carbon Copy) you don't want your recipients to feel as though they are one number on a list of a million contacts - you want them to feel like they are one in a million.

*  Use the subject line to entice them to open your information. If your client has requested further information, then state that the e-mail contains "the information you requested". Also, when you title your mail use words that have a positive connotation, words that are benefit oriented, and words that tell the recipient specifically what is enclosed.

* Use your e-mail preferences to include a signature line on all correspondence. A signature line is usually at the bottom of an email and gives all the contact information necessary for your customer to reach you in a variety of formats. Don’t forget to include your company’s logo!

* Personalize, personalize, and personalize.
