Section Leaders and Committee initiatives of the Commercial Section.

 

 

ETHICS COMMITTEE – Will Miller, Chair.  The Ethics Committee will take action to bring ethical issues to the attention of Section members, provide them with relevant, timely information regarding ethical concerns relevant to commercial ADR activities, and otherwise support the ACR Ethics Committee in developing policies, reviewing complaints against Commercial Section members or providing appropriate dispute resolution processes to resolve such complaints.

 

DIVERSITY AND EQUITY – Cindy Alm, Chair.  Committed to fostering and promoting the values of diversity and equity from section members and leadership.  Board liaison to ACR Diversity and Equity Initiative.

 

AWARDS PROGRAM – New! Two-part program designed to recognize life-work accomplishments in ADR & peacemaking and to award promising new-comers to the field and/or Section. 

 

INTERNATIONAL ADR COMMITTEE –   Frances I. Mossman, Chair. The ambitious objectives of this committee is to divulge best practices in International commercial ADR, develop a network of active International commercial ADR professionals, divulge to the pubic, government officials and to business executives the use and effectiveness of ADR in the International arena, help boost Commercial Section membership, and to contribute to the professional and business initiatives of its’ members.

 

STRATEGIC PLANNING – Initiated in 2002 as an important vehicle for Section success, this committee revises and updates the Section strategic plan and guides the Board through the planning process.

 

PROGRAM COMMITTEE – Richard Dewitt, Chair. Plans and executes arrangements for Section activities and programs at the Annual Conference and/or mid-year conferences.

 

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE – Cindy Alm, Chair. Promotes the Section by developing and maintaining memberships in the Section. Board liaison to ACR Membership Director.

 

BYLAWS COMMITTEE – New! Richard Dewitt, Chair. Responsible for drafting and making recommendations to the Board on the adoption of by-laws. Board liaison to ACR bylaws initiative.

 

E-NEWSLETTER - Publishes a newsletter distributed electronically to Section members. Solicits membership for content.
