Tracy Shaw is one of the most sought-after mediators in Tennessee.  He has successfully mediated more than 1500 cases involving tort liability, business dissolution, commercial and financial cases, wrongful death cases, professional liability and construction litigation cases.  His friendly manner, vast experience  and persistence in getting cases  settled have made converts of even the most resistant of attorneys and judges.  He is a Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator. 

He has been with  the firm of Howell & Fisher in Nashville since 1982 and a partner since 1987.   He was one of the first lawyers certified as a civil trial specialist.  He has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America for his work in mediation and by inclusion in Nashville Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar.” 

He graduated from Pepperdine University Law School in California.  He holds a license both in Tennessee and California.  His college degree is from University of North Carolina.  He served as a Law Clerk for Judge Jerry Scott of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. 

Tracy has lectured extensively on mediation techniques for the Nashville Bar Association and other organizations.  He is a Founding Member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. 

He is married and has two children.  His hobbies include golf and music.
