Marietta Shipley founded The Mediation Group of Tennessee, LLC. She is a retired judge like many of our mediators. While on the bench, she made the court system more accessible to parties to determine their own decision.

Now she has invited the best professionals in the state to join her in expanding the use of quality mediation and arbitration not only in civil and family court cases but to business and government. She believes that through mediation one can seek consensus, find solutions and get lasting results. The Group's goal is to provide quality mediation and arbitration through training, evaluation and constant feedback by our clients.

The Mediation Group of Tennessee, LLC is committed to bringing professional excellence to the practice of mediation and arbitration. Many of our professionals bring more than 20+ years of diverse experience in their practice as attorneys, judges or therapists. Some of our mediators have a full-time practice of mediation. Others offer mediation and arbitration as a part of their professional practice. We are proud to offer these top professionals as our team. Our geographical net is already wide, but we plan to add additional professionals across the state in the very near future.  We have family and civil mediators and arbitrators  in Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, Knoxville, Bristol, Maryville, and Bolivar, Tennessee and serve Chattanooga and Cleveland.

Divorce Mediation -  If you are seeking a divorce but wish to spend less money and have less trauma, you can attend mediation sessions before, during or after divorce.  Attorneys are always welcome but not necessary until the final divorce and appearance in court.  They are necessary to file the first pleading in a divorce and final documents.  These sessions are usually two hours in length over several weeks.  In the alternative, they are at the end of the divorce prior to the hearing.  For more information, click on Family Mediation on the side for a video, parenting class, and information on the Parenting Plan and Child Support.

In addition to providing quality mediation and arbitration, we are dedicated to improving the quality of our service. We do this by preparing for and learning from each mediation, learning from our clients as we serve them. We want to build relationships with attorneys, accountants, business and governmental leaders so that we become the mediation group they count on to transform conflict into opportunity.
