SCOTT GILMORE: EXPERIENCED TRIAL ATTORNEY & SUCCESSFUL MEDIATOR
SCOTT GILMORE combines his graduate business school education, his experience litigating cases for more than thirty three years and the lessons he learned during his five years as the managing partner of one of the oldest law firms in California to assist litigants in reaching a resolution of their disputes. SCOTT has served has a mediator since 2003 and has mediated more than 350 cases over the past eight years. SCOTT has practiced law for more than 33 years, exclusively as a member of Hill, Farrer & Burrill LLP, specializing in business related litigation, including contract, real estate, construction, employment, closely-held corporation and partnership matters. He has extensive experience in trying both jury and non jury cases in the state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. From 1998 through 2002 SCOTT served as Managing Partner of the firm. In support of his practice as a mediator, SCOTT has completed more than 120 hours of mediation training through the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University and affiliated organizations. He serves on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel of the Los Angeles County Superior Court and is a member of the Southern California Mediation Association.
