Shelly works with families and organizations caught in the middle of interpersonal conflict.
Her corporate experience with organizations such as General Electric, The Methodist Hospital, and Cerner Corporation has prepared her for the issues that often arise in the workplace setting. Working with a client base that has encompassed fourteen states and three countries Shelly understands the dynamics of staff personalities, interpersonal conflict and the cost to organizations when conflict escalates in the work environment. Her professional history is rich in various areas including healthcare, information technology, and marketing and alternative dispute resolution. Today Shelly is a Certified Trainer in Managing Workplace Conflict and focuses her skills in training and resolving workplace disputes for her various clients. Shelly serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators, is an active member of the Associate of Conflict Resolution and was instrumental in requesting and receiving Governor Brad Henry’s Gubernatorial Proclamation for Oklahoma’s first Conflict Resolution day in 2008.

James L. Stovall founded The Mediation Institute, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of alternative dispute resolution processes in governmental, corporate, and family law arenas, in 1992. Mr. Stovall has conducted training workshops in Egypt, India, Indonesia and 23 states in the U.S.
He has mediated over 500 cases relating to family, the environment, personal injury, malpractice, and employment issues.
Mr. Stovall has conducted trainings for over 1000 individuals including judges, attorneys, executives, and human resource and mental health professionals. He has taught mediation and negotiation at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City University School of Law, and University of Central Oklahoma.
Mr. Stovall’s training clients have included the US Postal Service, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Altus Air Force Base, Fort Sill Army Base, and Lucent Technologies.
His planning and facilitation client list includes the City of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Bar Foundation, the Administrative Office of the Court, and the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
He holds a Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary, a BA from the University of Illinois, and attended Louisiana State University Law School. He is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, and is a member and past president of the Oklahoma Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators.
