Perry W. Neichoy, J.D., has served as a professional mediator since 2000. He has successfully mediated a full range of litigated cases. He is known for his ability to quickly identify critical issues, his persistence in maintaining the parties’ focus on the mediation process, and settling the most difficult litigated disputes. He has successfully mediated complex disputes involving all types of personal injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, healthcare, employment, products liability, intellectual property, environmental, maritime personal injury and collisions, insurance coverage and bad faith, and toxic torts. He has mediated hundreds of cases involving in excess of 20 parties. He has also resolved many complex business disputes, professional partnership dissolutions, and construction disputes. He has mediated multi-issue discovery disputes in many types of civil litigation cases. He is frequently appointed by the courts to serve as a Special Master in resolving document intensive discovery issues, developing and enforcing case management orders in complex multi-party cases, and making recommendations to the court on various difficult legal issues that arise in complex cases. Mr. Neichoy received his law degree from Texas Tech University in 1989. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending many of the types of cases that he successfully mediates. His initial mediation training was with the A. A. White Dispute Resolution Center Certification Program in 1994 in Houston, Texas. He has also participated in mediation training at Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Neichoy is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Texas Association of Mediators, Maritime Law Association, and the Jefferson County Bar Association. He is an active volunteer for the Jefferson County Dispute Resolution Center performing pro bono mediations and also speaks on alternative dispute resolution topics.
