Budron Divorce Mediation and Conflict Management
I have a background in education, divorce mediation and conflict management. You may notice that I don’t refer to this as conflict resolution. This is because I believe that most conflict is managed not resolved. I hold a Master’s Degree in Communication from Bridgewater State University. Trained in Divorce Mediation and published in Conflict Management. I also have a certificate in Management Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
At Bridgewater I wrote many arbitrated decisions for the administration regarding union contracts. In arbitration someone hears from each side of the issue and then decides what actions both parties should take, much like a judge. Mediation differs in that you make all the decisions. The mediator, who is neutral, is there to facilitate the conversation between both parties until they can reach an agreement. This agreement is made by the client. You, the client, makes all of the final decisions.
You will find on this website a variety of approaches to divorce mediation; some short examples of how one works; and some related articles that may assist you in recognizing the difference between a divorce utilizing the court system and lawyers and a mediated divorce. In a court room, decisions about your divorce may be made by your attorney and the judge. In a mediated divorce the decisions are made by you and only you, the client. As you read through my website you will find numerous articles referencing divorce mediation as well as Conflict Management.
