About Harvey L. Goldhammer
Mr. Goldhammer graduated from Claremont McKenna College with honors in 1973 with a B.A. in economics and drama. He received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1977. For over 30 years, Mr. Goldhammer's law practice involved civil litigation and all forms of appellate law. He is one of the few attorneys who was comfortable and accomplished as both a trial attorney and an appellate attorney. Mr. Goldhammer has been serving as an arbitrator for the courts for almost 30 years and as a mediator for 8 years. He regularly gets repeat business from both plaintiff and defense attorneys. Mr. Goldhammer's ADR style is best described as flexible, creative, and tenacious. He is not a simple messenger of offers and demands. He gets involved with the details and facts of the case, asking poignant questions, and making creative suggestions, to bring about an acceptable resolution to all sides. When not at work, Mr. Goldhammer can usually be found on the soccer field, coaching and refereeing youth soccer. As a referee, he quite often finds that dealing with an upset coach, or an unruly parent, to be more challenging than dealing with litigants in a mediation setting.
