- Bernie is presenting a training titled Conflict Resolution: Peer Mediation Skills at CAPA in May 2009.
PREVIOUS EVENTS
- On February 1, 2009, Bernie was a co-trainer with Martha Hardy at the Mediators Beyond Borders Graduate Student Chapter. The training was Conflict Resolution Styles
- On February 4, 2009, Bernie spoke about Transformative Mediation at the Federal Court House at a monthly training given by the court.
- Due to the popularity of Bernie’s Advanced Mediation Skills Training, it was offered again December 12, 2008.
- Bernie lead a panel discussion on employment mediation at the YWCA as part of the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania on December 17, 2008:

- On October 15, 2008, the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania celebrated CONFLICT RESOLUTION DAY! Bernie was the Master of Ceremonies for the celebration.
- On October 13, 2008, Bernie was the lead trainer for ADVANCED MEDIATION SKILLS TRAINING: Enhancing Mediator Interventions. The topics discussed were: Effective interventions, Harnessing the power of the parties, handling emotions in a rational process, dealing with disruptions, and the myths of impasse, compromise, and power imbalance.
- Bernie is currently teaching a 6 week course at CMU’s OSCHER. It is a course for Mediators Beyond Borders called Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills.
- Bernie is also teaching at Duquesne University's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement.
In his spare time, Bernie has begun devoting time to work on his first book.
