Description of Practice
I work in all forms of dispute resolution. I am particularly interested in helping the parties design a process that works best for them. I have experience in preparing parties for mediation and other dispute resolution processes. I try to emphasize quick and economical solutions when possible. The process belongs to the parties and I do not feel required to force a solution. I am an experienced AV rated attorney with a background in several disciplines and an extensive litigation background. I primarily emphasize health care, construction and commercial disputes. In addition I have extensive experience in employment contract disputes. I emphasize helping the parties prepare for mediation so that it will be successful. I am familiar with various alternatives to mediation and arbitration.

Nevada Supreme Court settlement judge. Previously engaged in construction, real property, health care, and public utilities law matters. Represented numerous clients in healthcare reimbursement matters and medical insurance coverage problems. Chairman of the State of Nevada Public Works Board.Martindale Hubbell AV rated.Part owner of businesses and involved as an owner in substantial construciton. Represented contractors, developers and subs.Court qualified valuation expert on medical facilities.
Mediation Experience
Served as a mediator in over forty appellate cases for the Nevada Supreme Court Settlement Judge program. Specialize in construction health and complex commercial disputes Have resolved health care and construction, commercial disputes, real estate development and environmental issues (asbestos removal, excavation, shopping center and restaurant cases) generally in the $5 to $50 million dollar range, generally between owners and generals (25-30); and between generals and subcontractors (approximately 20), some involving purchaser and developer. Handled numerous insurance coverage and reimbursement cases, primarily in the health care field. Additional health care cases covered covenant not-to-compete and related employment issues.
