Steven L. Schwartz is a Founding Fellow, past President and Board of Governors Member of the International Academy of Mediators. His professional career spans 34 years in trial and appellate practice before State, Federal, Governmental and International Courts and Tribunals. For the past 19 years he has championed the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as an economically and socially meaningful alternative to the litigation process. 

Schwartz serves as a Mediator and Arbitrator in the fields of employment and labor law, commercial transactions, healthcare, insurance, construction, computer technology, ecommerce, domain name disputes, estates and trusts, proprietary rights, professional liability, public policy, environmental, personal injury, corporate disputes, and international terriorism. He also works as a Consultant in the design of dispute resolution systems and strategic business to business partnering. 

Mr. Schwartz has held faculty appointments at prestigious universities where he has taught and written extensively in the fields of law and ADR. 

Mr. Schwartz is recognized by his peers and those he serves as a leader in the ADR field.
