This conference has historically been very successful. The Conference Committee is dedicated to

surpassing the expectations of success by including presenters and attendees from around the world. We

are confident that our section membership will be impressed by the networking and educational -- and

recreational! -- opportunities to be provided during this conference.

ACR recently completed an exciting transition in its organizational life. The Family Section is looking forward
to introducing our members to the reinvigorated focus on building and sustaining a successful practice and
on sharpening our skills as practitioners. The conference theme – “Building Bridges, Moving Mountains” –
relates to the bridge built between the experience and wisdom of pioneers in family practice and the needs
of the emerging field of academics and practitioners. We warmly invite you to share your experience,
research, and wisdom with others. Whether you have presented before or whether you have something to
contribute as a new presenter, we welcome your ideas! We also encourage you to forward this call for
